KeySlides administration

In most cases, KeySlides is used with a SharePoint document library as a central repository. Then all content is in your own, familiar and trusted environment.
With OneDrive sync client you can synchronize content in the background to all users.
This guarantees a better performance (accessing lots of photos and icons directly from SharePoint would cause an unacceptable performance) and as a bonus KeySlides can be used offline.
KeySlides supports other configurations. Contact Tim to discuss the options for your situation.

You're in control

To configure KeySlides you need the help of your Azure and SharePoint administrator(s).
Ample technical documentation is available, so this technical part should not take long.

To configure the SharePoint document library you can choose:

  • Do everything yourself: if you purchase KeySlides, you get two hours of advice about/support with configuration and KeySlides has an administrator guide.
  • Ask KeyScript or an implementation partner to o the initial setup, and from that point on maintain it yourself (and of course you can get additional paid support at any time).
  • Outsource completely.

The main tasks of a KeySlides administrator are:

  • Define add-in level settings
    These include enabling/disabling buttons on the ribbon, determining if users can select photos and icons on their local system, if the default KeySlides user interface is English or Dutch, etcetera.
  • Maintenance of templates, example slide presentations, the photo and icon libraries and optionally an Excel file with on brand charts.
  • Template level settings
    These include assigning example slide files that can be used in combination with the template, selecting which folders with photos are shown, which buttons for text styles are shown and which languages are supported.
  • Example slides file level settings
    Optional definition of categories and tagging slides, if you want to use this option for inserting slides.
