Frequently asked questions

In KeySlides, you can use multiple templates. Each template can be attached to one or more files with example slides and one or more folders in the photo library (and even to categories of icons). If configured correctly, the user will always choose from slides using the correct style.

For this scenario, you also use the ability to define multiple templates and attach these to example slides and folders in the photo library.
Note: with this technique, you can also support templates for different languages.

The administrator defines which folders in the photo library are available for each of the templates. So the reverse is also true: if you need a set of photos to be specific to a particular type of presentation, you create a separate template.

In KeySlides, you don't use the icon in a picture placeholder to change the picture. Just select the placeholder (which may already contain a picture) and click the Photo library button on the ribbon. The new photo is placed in the selected placeholder.
As a bonus, KeySlides will put the photo in the same 'layer' So no more 'Move to front' or 'Send to back' after replacing a picture.

We can define up to fifty 'custom colors' in your template(s). See Custom solutions > Finetuning your templates for more template enhancements we can help with.

We can add one or more table styles to your template(s). This way you can control fill, text and border colors, the thickness of borders, etcetera. SeeCustom solutions > Finetuning your templates for more template enhancements we can help with.

KeySlides is just a tool and does not offer 'content'. But we can help, by creating an Excel file with on brand example charts. KeySlides can display a button on the ribbon to open this file for easy access.
We can also create chart templates or even an Excel add-in to support working with charts. See Custom solutions > Charts for more information.

The KeySlides add-in is installed per user. During installation, a configuration file, pointing to the the central document library is installed.
To start working with KeySlides the content from that library must be synchronized locally at least once. After that, KeySlides will work with the local files.
When you're online and connected to the configured SharePoint library, updates will be downloaded.

Currently, KeySlides supports English and Dutch for the user interface. The KeySlides administrators sets the default language. Users can change their setting to override the default.
If you like KeySlides, but need another user interface language, please reach out and we'll discuss what's possible.
